About Reflections from the Temple

Every week, I write one reflection on personal sovereignty, healing, and homecoming. For people who feel deeply, carry quietly, and are learning to come home to themselves.

What You’ll Get (And Who It’s For)

Each Sunday, one reflection lands in your inbox. Sometimes it’s a story. Sometimes it’s a practice. Sometimes it’s just a question that creates breathing room.

These aren’t about fixing you or optimizing your life. They’re about remembering who you are underneath all the performing, producing, and pleasing. About learning to stay open without losing yourself.

This space is for empaths, helpers, and peacekeepers walking the threshold between worlds - the healer and the human, the spiritual and the practical, the person who guides others but is now being called back to their own heart.

If you’ve ever whispered “I know there’s more,” this is for you.

My Story

I’m John Price - a breathwork facilitator, sound meditation practitioner, and someone who spent most of his life trying to be what the world could easily understand.

I grew up in small-town Oregon - sensitive, queer, intuitive, carrying a heart too big for the silence I was taught to keep. I left as soon as I could, then spent 25 years in a relationship that looked good from the outside but starved my spirit from the inside.

Leaving that life in 2018 brought simultaneous destruction and resurrection.

In 2020, during a retreat in Bali, I encountered conscious connected breathwork for the first time. There, in the space between breath and body, I met myself and forgave myself. In that forgiveness, I released shame, guilt, and doubt. In that forgiveness, I found my way to freedom.

Since then, I’ve devoted my work to guiding others back to that same homecoming through breathwork, sound, embodiment, and truth-telling.

What I’m Here For

I’m not here to fix you. I’m here to walk beside you while you remember who you are - where your breath softens, where your body speaks again, where your truth lands without apology.

You don’t need a new version of yourself. You need a homecoming.
